A different holiday in Goa for Jack Arpert with HeyHolidays!

If you are craving for an Indian holiday amidst sand, sea, and sunshine, Goa is your one-stop destination. With pristine beaches, abundant greenery, exciting water sports, exotic sea food, a pulsating nightlife and HeyHolidays accommodations, Jack Arpert's Goan holiday was packed with memories of a lifetime. From plush villas, to cozy cottages, Goa offers home to all and HeyHolidays teams with a number of local hosts to allow its guests for a true blue Goan holiday within budget!

Palm Villa, Colva: This coastal province was once a Portuguese colony, and still bears remnants of Portuguese settlement in the spectacular churches and villas sprinkled around the area.  Colva beaches are marked by miles of white sand clustered with coconut trees. Laze in hammocks with the sea lapping at your feet, and enjoy Goa in its true essence. And if nature and architecture are not enough for the traveler in you, Goa promises more in its pubs and shacks!

The HeyHolidays property in Colva is a cozily furnished villa with a beautiful view from the balcony. The rooms are equipped with all modern amenities to ensure your stay in style and comfort. As the major beaches of Colva are barely a few minute’s walk from the apartment, you can make the most of your holiday from here.

Palolem Holiday Home: Palolem in South Goa is a crescent stretch of azure sea with a rocky coastline. Keep your swimming gears ready, as the sea here is shallow, and perfect for splashing in the Goan sun. The coast is dotted with tiny shacks which supply an amazing spread of sea food and booze. Make sure you taste the tantalizing Goan dishes evolved from a blend of Portuguese and Anglican cuisine. The local liquor Feni is also worth a try.

Jack Apert, our 1st international guest in this HeyHolidays home, is overwhelmed by the hospitality of the host Joel. He writes – “Our interact with Joel as a host could not have been better.  He is always responsive to messages and questions and extremely helpful in terms of providing information about the area and arranging transportation.  As for the property, Palolem Garden Estates is a lovely gated community featuring two apartment style buildings (a third on the way) centered around a lovely communal pool and courtyard area. The apartment we stayed in (301) was clean and comfortable, featuring air con in both the main room and bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen, two wonderful balconies for enjoying morning coffee, as well as a washing machine and drying rack. The beach and main area of Palolem are a bit of a walk away (2-3kms) but a rented motorbike easily resolves this issue. ”

Benaulim Holiday Home: If a quiet holiday is what you have in mind, a few days in the Benaulim beach in South Goa will be your best choice. The beaches here are less crowded and hence a haven for ones wanting to unwind in the quietude of nature. Seafood and water sport are ample here as in other Goan beaches. But what adds to the credit of Benaulim is the amazing shopping experience that it offers. The handicraft stores here are a treasure trove of exquisite Indian handicraft items, and you are sure to fill your bags with a hoard of trinkets and souvenirs from all corners of India.

The HeyHolidays Benaulim Holiday Home is a comfortably furnished apartment ready to provide everything you might need for a relaxing stay. With the beach and major shopping area nearby, the property is conveniently located for the tourists. As Jack Apert says that “the location is very pleasing being about 100 meters from the beach and many beachfront restaurants. The complex is lovely and safe. The pool is very clean and inviting.  The apartments were also very clean and fully equipped with everything you might need, kitchen utensils and cooking equipment/refrigerator.” The host also provided us with a nice welcome basket of teas, coffee, water and cookies. Much appreciated. Oh and there is cable television, although we much preferred sitting on the balcony watching the sunset.  Lastly, the friendly security guard at the front gate was very helpful in arranging a motorbike for us to rent for a two days.”

Jack clearly made the best of his stay in Goa, and shares his experiences of bird watching and learning to cook the local cuisine from the amazing local man Shiva Mandre, who gives one the true taste of a Goan life. So get ready you backpackers, and allow HeyHolidays to treat you to a seaside experience like never before.
