Set over 2 levels with plenty of off street parking for yourselves and any visitors, this stunning one bedroom, one bathroom home gives you all the living space of a 3 bedroom home but is custom made for couples. A stunning light filled vaulted living area that offers you all sorts of options for relaxation, flows off the well stocked kitchen that could inspire any chef. A wonderful open fire to curl up in front of over winter evenings is the centrepiece and with Netflix available, your cosy evenings in are complete. In summer, open the bi-fold windows to the lush bush view while stretching out on the window seat to soak in the ambiance of the surrounding area - quality time for two awaits.


A beautifully renovated bathroom, complete with separate shower and lovely large welcoming bath are also located on this floor together with a separate washing machine and dryer.


Upstairs is the master bedroom retreat complete with its own fabulous lounge area that overlooks the main living area below. Sitting in what feels like a glass tree house, one may find the artist is inspired to paint or the writer flows with creative expression. It is a place of stillness and quiet reflection. In this area you will also find a work station, complete with printer aided by the unlimited Wi-fi. Open the balcony doors in this beautiful suntrap and listen to the birdsong of the local native Tui's that have made their home here. On a clear night the room is illuminated with moonlight through the roof skylight. This area then flows through to the lovely large serene master bedroom with Queen bed, complete with an electric blanket for those cold winter evenings, and views to the bush and the sunrises that paint the sky with pinks and oranges.


Atahu Cottage is not suitable for toddlers, however it is baby friendly and portacots can be rented on the island through Waiheke Nannies to save transporting them.


PLEASE NOTE: An exit cleaning fee of $95 applies to each stay. All linen and towels are supplied. Minimum stays: 7 nights between mid December and mid January, 3 nights holiday weekends and 2 nights all other times. Atahu means to charm, bewitch, captivate, enchant and beguile and that is exactly what this beautiful home does.
