This is beach living at its finest—in the penthouse, no less! Silver Shells Resort has five buildings—three are gulf-front and two are gulf-side. This is the penthouse in St. Lucia, which is the west side of the property with fabulous gulf views and a view of the famed Choctawhatchee Bay.

The open-concept living and dining area is huge, with breath-taking panoramic views in three directions. Step out onto the wrap-around balcony and savor an incredible view of the glorious city, at your feet from the top of one of Destin's most luxurious properties--this is penthouse, after all! The sparkling white sand and rich emerald surf of the Gulf of Mexico is on one side, the expansive Choctawhatchee Bay on the other.

The fully stocked kitchen features granite countertops and a long serving bar—perfect for entertaining. There is even a view of the gulf from the kitchen window. Pick up some local seafood and prepare a fabulous meal. With that incredible view—your creativity will soar! Then dine in comfort with seating for six at the table and three at the bar. Or dine al fresco on the balcony with sea breezes and lapping waves as your background music.

The main level contains three guest suites. Two of the bedrooms contain queen beds and one has two twin beds. Lie in bed in one of the queen guest suites, and take in the beautiful view of the gulf with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides and access to the balcony. You have a private full bath in this suite. From the second queen suite, you have a view of the famed Choctawhatchee Bay. Step out onto the balcony and enjoy a view of the Gulf of Mexico. This suite also has a full bath. The twin guest room features a shared balcony, view of the gulf and private bath.

There are a total of three bathrooms on this floor and every bedroom has a view and a television. The unit also features a large laundry room with full-sized washer, dryer and utility sink. So travel home with clean clothes--no marathon laundry sessions after vacation.

But that is not all that this luxury penthouse has to offer. The pièce de résistance can be found by following the curved staircase upstairs to the grand private master suite with sweeping views in three directions. Enjoy the visual exhilaration of this beautiful scenery from both the king bed and the private wrap-around balcony.

You have an incredible view of the beach, the tropical lagoon swimming pool and the bay from the floor-to-ceiling windows. Step out to the balcony-feel the sea breezes and hear the rhythmic ebb and flow of the lapping waves. This is the reason you came!

The spacious sitting area is perfect for relaxing, reading or watching television. The large master bath with jetted tub and oversized walk-in shower, also features separate, double vanities. There is one additional bedroom upstairs containing two twin trundle beds, which is perfect for parents who want to keep the kids nearby.

Silver Shells is a premier property in Destin with two onsite restaurants—The Sand Bar for quick bites and the world-famous Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for a meal to remember. Other amenities onsite include the incredible 7,500 square foot lagoon pool with waterfall and whirlpool, another smaller pool adjacent to your building, and indoor and outdoor pools available for use within the onsite spa (fees apply). There is also a fitness center and tennis and basketball courts. And your building features two wonderful community dining/grilling areas.

Henderson State Park is adjacent to the Silver Sands property and offers a private untouched beach not found in other Destin resorts.

From arts and culture to eco-tourism, from fine dining to quick bites, from sports and adventure to shopping and spas, Destin has it all. Rent a boat or paddleboard. Play golf or stumble upon a treasure on the beach or at one of the many shopping areas.
