Sheep, horses and the famous local Te Matuku Oysters are all farmed at this beautiful 350 hectare property. On booking you are even able to request fresh fish and or oysters to be delivered to the cottage.


The cottage itself is a restored shearers quarters located right on Te Matuku Bay, surrounded by native bush and trees, it sits between two top vineyards and restaurants and is 20 mins from Onetangi Beach. It is nestled next to an old orchard with apricots, peaches, nectarines, limes, figs and old plum trees. There are chooks, sheep, horses and cattle on the farm and opportunities exist to purchase horse treks, farm experiences, guided walks etc or to just be left alone to enjoy the experience and explore the walks independently.


Take your partner, family, close friends and fur baby (dogs that are used to cattle and horses are welcome), to this beautiful and private location. With 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and an enclosed outdoor shower, it is the perfect place to leave the stress of the 'big smoke' behind. Sit under the magnificent Moreton Bay Fig tree, taking n the magnificent views and all day sun. You will struggle to tear yourself away to take in the other sights of the island. And yes, it is available to host weddings for groups up to 120.


The cottage is on one level, so great for elderly guests as well, with all 3 bedrooms and the bathroom of the main living area and a separate laundry located at the entrance. The kitchen is well appointed, with more than you will need to whip up a gourmet meal, or better yet, fire up the bbq. The dining area also comes complete with a gorgeous wood burner for those lovely cooler evenings and also takes in the stunning view over the Bay.


This is a place to unwind in and have a real holiday, while still feeling in some ways that you are at home.


PLEASE NOTE: The owners of the property and a manager are also located in separate cottages on the farm. An exit cleaning fee of $120 applies to each stay. Minimum stays: 7 nights between mid December and mid January, 3 nights holiday weekends and 2 nights all other times. All linen is included.
