Traditional stone house at NE coast, overlooking the bay and seaside village of Elounda, at only a 15 min. walk form the beach, located in the village of Mavrikiano. This rustical holiday home offers an authentic atmosphere due to the stone walls with arches and the stone staircase to the upper floor. The house has been renovated carefully and nowadays forms a holiday home for a special vacation in Greece. The terrace on the first floor offers a summer kitchen and beautiful views over the Gulf of Mirabello and Elounda. This is the perfect place for breakfast and dinners.
The sandy beach and the town of Elounda are located at 15 min. walk (ca. 500 m.). Since Elounda is situated at the bottom of the Gulf of Mirabello it offers a unique seaside with sandy and rocky beaches and nature full of almond, carube and olive trees. From Elounda you can also go on a boat excursion to the beautiful island of Spinalonga with the impressive Venetian fort. For those who like walking, many possibilities and you will enjoy the walk along the seaside from Elounda to Placa of ca. 5km. . The Iraklion International Airport is located at ca. 75km.

Archaeological remains can be found at the Minoan city of Gournia (ca. 30km) the only excavated Minoan city or the third Minoan Palace of Malia (ca. 35km). There are also orthodox monasteries worth visiting for example in Areti, Kritsa and Toplou.
