It is advisable to rent a car or take a taxi. The distance to and from the airport is approximately 30 km (50 minutes).

From Afionas there is a mountain path down to the end of the promontory where there are two beautiful beaches. This is called "Porto Timoni '. The beaches are separated from each other through a narrow strip of land.
