Villa Karteros is located in Karteros village, 8 km east from from Heraklion and 800m from the beach. It offers a patio and balcony overlooking the sea. Beach, watersports and horse riding are 1 km away.
The village Karteros is a near the sea suburb of Heraklionwith very large sandy beach, watersports, a few beach bars, restaurants, gas stations, pharmacy, mini markets and a horse riding farm and all these are between 1 to 2 kilometres from the house. Heraklion is 10 minutes drive, occupied by mainly locals, but if you like the most touristic side of our island, you can go to Hersonissos which is 20 minutes drive with a lot of reastaurants, clubs, great beaches with mainly tourists. There are also some places with moderate nightlife and beaches like Kokkini Hani, Gouves, Gournes which are 5-10 minutes drive with the car.
There is a 18-holes Golf Course of international standards at about 30 km.
Also a nice Water city, only at 5 km from the house.
Elounda, with the Spina Longa island (book The Island/Victoria Hislop) and Agios Nikolaos are worth a visit, also the La Siti Plateau.
