Lovely, Light-filled Holiday Apartment

Welcome to the lovely charm of Greek village life in Kalamaki, Zakynthos, one of the beautiful Ionian Islands off the western coast of Greece. The Mediterranean laps gently at this ancient and beautiful seashore just a few short blocks from this well-appointed, light-filled private apartment for four guests. We've no doubt you will enjoy both the apartment as well as our quiet village and beaches. Kalamaki has been rated as one of the top beaches and places to visit on the island of Zakynthos.
The Space:
This wonderful air-conditioned apartment will serve as your perfect base from which to explore our ancient island and peaceful village. The apartment's spacious, open floor plan includes a well-equipped and modern kitchen and dining table for five to six people conveniently located between the kitchen and living space. The sunny living space is comfortable and allows you to spread out and enjoy this one-bedroom spotless holiday apartment.



From the balcony, you can relax and enjoy the lovely views of the area capped by the Greek hillside in the distance. You can also cook comfortably in this kitchen with well-appointed appliances including an electric glass-top cooker and extra-large refrigerator. Everything you need to whip up a quick meal is available to you in this kitchen. (There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the village so that you don't have to cook!) The flat also includes a washer and dryer inside the apartment for your added convenience.

The Neighborhood:
When you are ready, simply wander down the road with your beach gear to enjoy the nearby sandy beach. If you tire of the beach, you can enjoy the many things our beautiful island has to offer from numerous beaches where you can enjoy the sparkling Mediterranean for swimming or snorkeling to several historical and cultural sites. The slower pace of life on the island is perfect for relaxing and exploring while on holiday!
Getting Around:
The island's capital (shares the same name: Zakynthos) is located just 15 minutes away from Kalamaki on the island's northern coast. Many tourists arrive there by ferry from the mainland port of Kyllini. You can also catch a ferry from the village of Agios Nikolaos to the larger and busier port of Argostoli, Kafalonia - another Ionian island.
Other Things to Note:
You can take a boat tour from almost any beach or village harbor on the island to enjoy our coastline or explore the tiny island of Marathonisi (Turtle Island) where you can take a peek inside several caves.

If you'd rather soak up some culture, Agios Dionisios Church will take your breath away with its many frescoes and Greek architecture.

The Bohali Castle ruins might interest you as well. The stunning views from the castle's perch high above the shoreline are what help draw visitors.

Snorkeling and scuba diving is available throughout the island.

The volunteers of the Turtle Rescue Center will be happy to show you the center and talk to you about the island's turtles. Depending on the season and turtle activities in the area, you might even get to see an active turtle nest. Nearby restaurants will quench your thirst or hunger from your visit!
