Cape Horn Vineyard Villa

Cape Horn Vineyard is located on a sand hill wedged between the Murray and Goulburn Rivers and just 10-15 minutes drive from the nearest town of Echuca. Just a short drive along a 5 km sealed road and another 4km of gravel road that leads to a stunning, secluded and peaceful setting with wide water frontage and vineyard surrounds.

The Vineyard was first planted to Shiraz grapes in the 1800's serving the thriving River Boat trade. Being half way between Echuca and Barmah, Cape Horn was a convenient stopping spot for the river boats. The vineyard and winery evolved as a consequence. Cape Horn was also a popular picnic spot for day trippers from Echuca in the 1900's.

The Vineyard has been re-established, with the planting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Durif, Marsanne and Zinfandel vines.

We are proud to present to you today a new and improved Vineyard which combines modern conveniences with a historic feel, set in stunning riverfront surrounds.

The newly constructed 2 story 5 bedroom Vineyard Villa features breathtaking Murray River and Vineyard vistas from every window complete with a 10 person jacuzzi!

The heart of this Vineyard Villa is its open plan lounge and dining with extensive vineyard and Murray River views. It is a generous space with comfortable couches for entertainment and relaxation and a flat screen television including Foxtel. The house is contemporary and spacious.

The well equipped kitchen has modern, top of the range appliances that will make catering to family and friends memorable, including stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine (Caffitaly), milk frother, crockery, cutlery, cookware, glassware and more. The open plan dining area has a 10 seater dining setting, the perfect place to share sumptuous meals and wine.

From the lounge area the sliding doors open up onto the balcony that runs along the whole open-plan area. There is an outdoor table setting that seats ten, as well as a large BBQ, making this outdoor space perfect for dining and relaxation.

There are five exquisite bedrooms with modern bed linen, soft furnishings and polished stone flooring. 4 of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor and open up onto the deck with stunning views of the Murray River and the vineyard. A good size bathroom is located downstairs with shower, basin and toilet.

The spacious master bedroom is located on the second floor.

A 2nd bathroom with bath, shower, basin and toilet is upstairs. Experience a serene and luxurious stay with breathtaking views of the vineyard and the Murray River from every window. An optional internal lift is available for the elderly and people with disabilities. This lift is turned off unless persons with special needs are staying.

The house comes with a large heated jacuzzi /swim spa which is located in a separate building next to the house and for the Vineyard Villa guests exclusive use. This Jacuzzi is undercover and can be enclosed with glass sliding doors or it can be left open to the vineyard grounds.

Guests are free to explore the property. Dine and chat on the picnic area whilst enjoying the river view.

Take memorable photos and unwind on the magnificent rose gardens and vineyard vines. Defeat your opponent on the giant chess game!

During your stay, indulge with a wide range of award winning wines with their daily wine tastings. You can also purchase wine from the vineyard. Enjoy sumptuous wood fired pizzas too!

Be serenaded by acoustic artists alongside the picturesque views of Cape Horn Vineyard and Riverside Bar (contact us to know the live music schedule). When music events are planned on vineyard grounds they do not run into the late evening, leaving you to enjoy the night in peace after a fun filled day.
