Description

★ This cute and cozy apartment will wow you! Located in the vibrant and central neighborhood of Koukaki in Athens, Greece, it is ready to greet guests and is well situated for exploring Athens. If you're looking for an adorable place for three in the heart of Athens, you have found it. ★
★ The Space. ★
At 35 sq. meters, this space is a well-appointed and equipped studio apartment, with the bedroom separate from the kitchen area. It's larger than many hotel rooms but smaller than a traditional apartment. It's perfect for up to three explorers wanting a charming, clean apartment in a great neighborhood where they can sleep well - and can cook meals if they chose to cook!
The main room is spacious for a studio with a double bed, lots of natural light, and air conditioning. The studio's kitchen is adjacent to the bedroom but is a separate space. It is larger than you would find in most studios and is fully equipped.
The size of the bathroom is as you might expect for a studio, but unlike most studios, it has a bathtub and is as charming as the rest of the studio!
The advantages of the studio don't stop there, however! Guests will appreciate and enjoy a small balcony.
(PLEASE NOTE: Smoking is ONLY permitted outside on this balcony! From September through June, when school lets out for summer, it can be a bit noisy in the mornings on the balcony from a school across the street. However, the insulation of the balcony's double-glass door keeps most of the noise out of the studio.
Another advantage of this studio is that guests enjoy the benefit of a hall where you can leave your luggage, buggies, etc. Included are bed linens and towels, hangers, kitchen essentials, air conditioning, and WiFi.
Lastly, a significant feature of the studio is its easy access to the rest of the city. The trolley bus stop is only a couple of minutes away, and the metro station of Sygrou-Fix is less than 10 minutes' walking distance.
★ The Neighborhood ★
The Koukaki neighborhood is known lovingly by locals as "the little Paris" of Athens because of its many cafés and restaurants. It's a popular place to meet with friends to eat and drink. But most importantly, Koukaki has maintained its charm as a traditional Athenian neighborhood.
The neighborhood sits at the foot of Filopappou Hill, where the Pnyx (the birthplace of direct democracy assemblies) and the Socrates prison are located. Filopappou is considered the "green heart" of Athens because it is where locals go to walk, run, and relax in the leafy shade of its many trees.
Nearby there are numerous picturesque neighborhoods, including the charming Ano Petralona which is just a 13 to 15-minute walk. Nearby you will find the famous Acropolis (Plaka, Thisio, etc.). It's only a 15-minute walk to the Acropolis museum and eight minutes walk to the Athens Contemporary Art Museum.
