Zafran Guesthouse is situated in the peaceful village of Smoljanac, six kilometres north of Plitivce Lakes National Park.

The Guesthouse provides accommodation for nine people, with an apartment that sleeps six (four plus two) and a separate three bed unit. Both units include a bathroom, balcony, free parking and WiFi. We can also serve breakfast upon request and are most happy to provide you with all the relevant information to assist you with you onward travel. Apart from the unmissable Plitivce Lakes National Park, which truly is one of the jewels in Croatia's crown, we strongly recommend our guests visit Rastoke, a site of a natural, ethnographic and historical significance situated twenty kilometres away. Another picturesque spot is Baraceve caves, a recently discovered prehistorical site full of valuable artefacts dating back to the seventh century.

Adrenaline seekers can enjoy rafting on the beautiful rivers of the Korana and Una which are also twenty kilometres from Somljanac.

To complete a perfect day there are several outstanding restaurants in the area where you can enjoy traditional Croatian cuisine and get a taste of Croatia’s best wines.
