The neighbourhood

• Restaurants: Santa Maria Del Sur just around the corner does great steaks. Le Pot Lyonnais on Queenstown Rd is great for a drink but probably not so good for food. I would recommend walking up to Clapham Common or Northcote Road and Battersea Rise near Clapham Junction. Both these areas have a lot of good restaurants to choose from and a great variety of cuisines.
• Bars: Powder Keg does some of the best cocktails around. It's a good 25 minute walk or £6 in an Uber. 147 St Johns Hill, SW11 1TQ (URL HIDDEN)
• Markets: We're big fans of both Brixton and Camden market and if you have time they're worth a visit. Slightly closer there's a good farmers market Saturday morning in Clapham Common on Venn St, London SW4 0AT and one on Saturday morning in Duke of York Square off of the Kings Road near Sloane Square.
• Shops: The 137 and 452 will take you to the Kings Rd (Peter Jones and most of the most popular shops in the UK), Sloane Street (All the Boutiques from Channel to Versace and everything in between) and Knightsbridge for Harvey Nichols and Harrods. For food shopping there's a Sainsbury's Local and Tesco Express 5 minutes away on Queenstown Rd. Turn right on Queenstown Rd and you won't miss them.

We are well located for public transport. On Queenstown Rd we have 3 very good busses. The 137 will take you to Oxford St, 452 to Kensington and Notting Hill and the 156 to Waterloo. If you want the tube you can take 137 or 452 North to Sloane Square or Knightsbridge tube station or 137 South to Clapham Common tube.
There are two overland train stations on Queenstown Rd. Queenstown Rd station, which takes you into Waterloo and Battersea Park which takes you into Victoria.
If you're flying from Gatwick then you can take a train from Clapham Junction direct to Gatwick. Clapham Junction is a 15 minute walk away or £5-£6 Uber ride. For Heathrow take the bus to Knightsbridge and tube straight to airport.
