MALIAMPURACKAL HOUSE
Maliampurackal Family is a prominent ancient Suriyani Syrian Christian tharavadu of Pulincunnu in Alleppey District, Kerala State, India. Tharavadu is a system of joint family practiced by people in Kerala and each Tharavadu has a unique name. This family is one of the branches of the �Chothirakkunnel� family Mahakudumbam. According to known history, in early 16th century Chembakasseri lords brought his own loyal people from Tharakan family to Pulincunnu as representatives of the king for the maintenance of law and order as also tax collection. Kizhakkethalakkal later known as Maliampurackal was one of those family has its ancestors from Chothirakkunnel family Thottakadu.
Generations passed peacefully for almost a century. Maliampurackal Kudumbam members were, by and large, peaceloving, Godfearing, and hardworking. Agriculture was their mainstay.
